Global Angel Investor Network (GAIN) Launches to Expand Access to Capital

The Global Angel Investor Network (GAIN) has officially launched in Mississauga to improve access to early-stage funding for immigrant and underrepresented founders across Canada. As a national nonprofit, GAIN aims to strengthen Canada’s innovation economy by connecting high-potential startups with vetted Canadian and global angel investors.

Recognizing that immigrants play a major role in entrepreneurship yet often face funding barriers, GAIN focuses on building inclusive pathways to capital. The organization will support founders, educate and activate new angel investors—especially from diverse communities—and facilitate cross-border investment opportunities.

Backed by experienced leaders from the investment and startup ecosystem, GAIN is committed to creating trusted networks, curated deal flow, and global market access for Canadian innovators. The initiative ultimately seeks to mobilize new capital and unlock more equitable growth within Canada’s startup landscape.
